Welcome to FlowDrama! This policy explains in detail what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage and protect your data.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our service for you. The data is divided into three categories:

A. Information You Provide to Us:

• Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your email address. After logging in, you can voluntarily provide profile information, such as your name and a unique username.
• Sign in with Google or Apple: If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your email and name from these services to create or access your account. We never receive your password.
• User Content: We collect the data you create and manage within the application, including script texts, scenes, characters, and lines. The core functionality of our app involves audio, so we also collect the audio recordings you make and upload to the platform.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

• Device Notification Token: To keep your content synchronized and notify you about the processing status of your audios, we collect an anonymous notification token from your device through the Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) service.
• Usage Data (Analytics): We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. We collect: the screens you visit and the actions you take in the app (for example, creating a play, starting a rehearsal, exporting), with types and counts (such as the number of lines or the file format); a random internal identifier for your account; an identifier for the app installation; and technical information such as device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country/region. We never send your email, your name, the text of your plays, lines or notes, or your recordings. We do not use the device advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID), we do not show ads, and we do not track you across third-party apps or websites.
• Purchase Data: When you buy credits, payment is processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We receive only the purchase identifier and the pack purchased, to validate the purchase and add the credits to your account. We never have access to your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your email for authentication (passwordless login) and to ensure the security of your account. Your profile data is used to personalize your experience.
• Core Functionality: The scripts and texts you create are stored so you can access them at any time. Your audio recordings are processed and stored so that you and your collaborators can use them for rehearsals. We also use the text from your lines to generate synthesized audio (TTS) as part of the application's functionality.
• Communication: We send emails with access codes for login. We use notifications to inform you when an audio has been processed and is ready for use.
• Collaboration: The nature of FlowDrama is collaborative. Your name and username may be visible to other people with whom you share a play to identify who is associated with each character.
• To Improve the App: We use usage data, in aggregate, to understand which features are used most, where people run into difficulties, and to fix problems. This data is not used for advertising and is never sold.

3. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal information. Data sharing occurs only under the following circumstances:

• Third-Party Service Providers: We work with companies that help us operate our service. They are contractually obligated to protect your data and can only use it for the purposes we specify.
  • Cloud Storage: Your audio files are securely stored with cloud storage providers (e.g., Backblaze B2).
  • Notification Service: We use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications to your device.
  • Email Provider: We use an email service to send login codes.
  • Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics for Firebase (Google) to process the usage data described above. This data is kept for up to 14 months.
  • Stores and Sign-in: Google Play and the App Store process payments for credit purchases. Google and Apple authenticate you when you choose to sign in with those accounts.
• Other Users (Collaboration): As mentioned, when participating in a play, other members will be able to see your username associated with the characters you portray.

4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

We take the security of your data seriously. Your information is stored on secure servers, and we implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your audio recordings and script data are yours; we only host them for the application to function.

For offline functionality, a copy of your play's data is stored locally on your device in a secure database.

We will retain your information as long as your account is active. If you decide to delete your account, your personal and content data will be removed from our systems in accordance with legal and technical deadlines.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage your profile data directly within the application. For account deletion requests or full access to your data, please contact us at the email address below.

Turning off usage data: You can turn off usage data at any time in Settings → Share usage data in the app. When you turn it off, collection stops immediately and any usage data on this device that has not yet been sent is deleted. We process usage data based on our legitimate interest in improving the service.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. We recommend that you review this policy periodically.
